These Is My Words by Nancy E. Turner is a vivid story of love, adventure,
and a woman's courage
with a historical backdrop in the Arizona Territory of the late 1800s.
I will be honest and say that I was not sold on this book within the first 10 pages, but
I am glad that I continued past those first few dry pages. It was well worth it.
Sarah Prine preserves her life in a diary, recording all of her
uncensored thoughts...
silly, naive, rash, raw, yet authentic emotions...
deepest secret hopes and desires as a daughter, a mother, and a wife...
greatest and most simple joys in life...
characteristics of her husband and children...
and her biggest dreams.
I laughed.
I huffed in anger.
I cried.
I stopped and thought about my own naive decisions throughout my life.
I hugged my children and Andy as I told them how much I love them.
I thanked God for my wonderful life.
Any book that makes you reflect on your blessings and what brought you to your current place in life is a book well worth reading in my opinion.
