Insta-Friday with Victoria

Hello Friday!

Hello SUMMER!!!

I have been yearning for these carefree days for weeks.

We brought my niece, Victoria, back with us!!!

We love her sweet, patient personality.

Vic and I were blessed with a kid free lunch out one afternoon.

It was delightful.

We painted ceramics one day.

Vic picked an owl box, AJ picked a 4-wheeler, Abby picked a fairy, and Brody picked a car.

I was on crowd control.

We ventured to Michaels for canvases and paint...

And worked on an awesome project one day.

We made our traditional friendship bracelets...

And prepared to surprise AJ with a summer kick off party!

We built a fire and made s'mores.

We practiced 3-D drawings.

And painted our nails.

We took Vic indoor skydiving!

#skydivinghair

And were inspired by Whatever to try continuous line drawing!

We are loving rockin' in summer with Vic!

Insta-Monday

Hello peeps.

Last weekend Abby and I had mommy and me pictures taken by Sharon Arnoldi. They turned out amazing. They always do. She does incredible work.

This was before our pics when Ab was just playing around. Love that girl.

Love me some Jamba Juice.

Ab had her ballet and tap recital.

She felt pretty special getting flowers.

I went to a graduation for some of my Young Life Capernaum students.

I threw on some boots and headed to the airport for phase one of my trip to Oklahoma for my neice's graduation...

And sat for three hours for my one hour flight.

But I finally made it and got to hang out with this cutie pie. Love that boy up. Even if I had to pay him $1.10 to get a hug.

His mama and I enjoyed some coffee and cookies while he was at daycare.

I got a phone call that Abby, Maggie, and Brody all gave Brody a haircut...

So he ended up with an emergency trip to the salon to get that fixed before he road tripped it out to see the fam...

Jess and I road tripped it down to Missouri to meet up with another sorella for phase two of my trip to Oklahoma for Taylor's graduation.

We found our fave road trip gum at a gas station.

And bought a few pieces. Like 21.

Then we had our traditional bubble contest.

After meeting up with a third sister, we road tripped it down to Oklahoma.

Friday night we made it to Taylor's graduation!

So proud of that beautiful girl.

So full of spirit. So full of determination. So smart. Such strong values.

She's going to do awesome things in this world.

We took up an entire row in that gym.
Jon kinda smiles like Abby...
5 sorellas
1 kareoke machine
Countless bottles of wine
Up till 6 in the morning
When in Oklahoma you drive 4 wheelers. Right?
Brody thought that was the coolest thing ever.

We checked out the Wichita Mountains Refuge.

Then we loaded up the swagger wagon and hit the road...

With an extra passenger!

So excited to kick off the summer with this chick!

Insta-Saturday

Whew. May is flying by at warp speed.

Latte got a much needed bath and hair cut.

AJ finished out the soccer season!

I got this awesome card for Mother's Day.

Abby was ticked.

She said, "I.am.not.SASSY!"

A family trip to Starbucks happened on Mother's Day.

Brody said, "StarBUUUCCKKS!"

It snowed 6 inches on Sunday and Monday...

While the van was on the drive way due to yard sale preparations.

Party foul Colorado.

Not.cool.

We had a 2 day yard sale.

That was a lot of work.

Brody and I went shopping one afternoon.

I indulged in a chai and carried my new bag.

It was dreamy.

I made a headband with a friend one afternoon while the kiddos played in the back yard.

Love creating with fun people.

Andy went to Young Life paint wars with me Friday night.

We had a blast.

And now we go into the Crazytown of the last two weeks of school with a field day, road trip, graduation party, and end of the year events. I'm bracing for impact.

Insta-Friday

Low key week around here.

No stitches.

Whew.

We ate dinner on the patio with root beer last weekend.

Love nights like that.

Small Wonders (our religious ed class) ended.

I'm looking forward to not getting up at 6am every Sunday and fighting to get Abby out the door at 7am. Girlfriend is not a morning person.

My sweet class spoiled me with hydrangeas, Starbucks gift cards, and Barnes and Noble gift cards.

I tried to get a pic of Ab and Brody one day.

This conversation followed:

Me: Abby are you ok?

Ab: Yeah. Why?

Me: You look like you are in pain.

Ab: I'm smiling.

#lifewithabby

I had Starbucks twice in one day.

It was that kind of day.

I'm too old to stay up all night watching Black Sails.

We are having one last push for Box Tops before summer.

Trimming, checking expiration dates, and counting Box Tops is a great way to avoid doing laundry and dishes.

Abby drew a ballerina for me one day.

She said, "Look mom, she's smiling!"

When it's 7:30pm, you haven't eaten dinner, and you are just leaving church...Steak N Shake for dinner happens.

This is why Abby does not have an American Girl doll yet.

Even low key weeks are entertaining around here...
