Nacho Pizza

Every week it is a struggle to come up with a menu around this house.

We usually eat the same things over & over again.

We find fast, easy meals & stick to those.

But occasionally we find a new favorite...
& we eat it over and over.

Come on...
sour cream mixed with salsa on a pizza crust & topped with tasty nacho goodness!

Holla!

You are going to want to eat it every night also.
I promise.

This picture and lame description really do not do it justice.

Ingredients:

1 pkg. (6-1/2 oz.) pizza crust mix
1 tsp. cornmeal
3/4 lb. ground beef
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup salsa
1/2 cup sour cream
1 medium tomato, chopped
2 Tbsp. chopped black olives
2 cups (8oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips

Directions:

1.  Prepare pizza curst according to package directions.  Coat a 12-in. pizza pan with cooking spray; sprinkle with cornmeal.  With floured hands, press dough into pan.  Bake at 425 degrees for 6-8 minutes or until lightly browned.

2.  Meanwhile, in a small skillet cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.  Stir in chili powder, salt and pepper.

3.  Combine salsa and sour cream; spread over crust to within 1 in. of edge.  Top with beef mixture, tomatoes, olives and cheese.  Bake for 10 minutes.

4.  Sprinkle with crushed chips; bake 5-6 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.

5. Enjoy this fabulously amazing new dinner with a cold Dr. Pepper...or your drink of choice.

Help a girl out...

If you have a
 fairly simple,
(doesn't take all night & can we threw together while fending off two young children)
super tasty
family favorite dinner, let me know.
Then this Sunday, I can impress Andy with all my new dinner ideas when we make the menu.

YUM. That sounds awesome!

I love the Pioneer Woman's cookbook--some take awhile to make but others not so much.

Also there is a site about Slow Cooking for a year with a ton of crockpot recipes. Here's the link for that one: http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/

Ooh, what a great meal idea! My husband would love this..

I like to use Campbells cooking soups, like cream of chicken with herbs, precooked chicken, rice, and frozen veggies. 10 minutes and dinner is done. Plus, my kids eat anything with "gravy". So it's a win win. Lol!
