Around The World In A Wagon

Our neighborhood had our first porch crawl Saturday.

We started with a treasure hunt in the Caribbean.

Then to Switzerland for chocolate fondue, flags, & Swiss bank accounts.

Followed by limbo & Blue Hawaiians at a Luau.

Then to Mexico for yummy tacos, tropical play doh...

& a pinata!

Off to Texas for lil' smokies, pink lemonade, &

stick horse races!

Concluding the evening in New Orleans with masks, king cake & yummy por' boys!

Leg Warmers & Rose Hips

Up to the mountains...

out with the long sleeves, leg warmers, fun hats... 

sweaters, quilts....

& hoodies

to search for rose hips & make jelly!

After a fun filled day of collecting rose hips, 

daddy decided to be manly & chop up (mutilate) some wood...

after a couple swings AJ looked at Andy & said, 

"You're not very good at that..."

HA!  I about fell over laughing...

According To AJ:

1.  School is cool because they play choo choo like a train when they leave the room & they paint...

2.  Lunch is better on a stick...

3.  It is okay to talk to the neighbor's dog through the fence because they are "best friends."

4.  If you can't find your shoes, you should just use a Mega Blocks Wagon...

5.  You always have to wear a hat to feed the neighbor's dog when dog sitting...even if you are a guest...

6.  You should never try & wave with one hand while riding a horse...that is scary...

7.  You should be able to take a sunflower home from the Sunflower Farm...it only seems fair...

AJ's First Day Of Preschool

He was ready to go!...even though I was struggling...just a bit...

kinda wanted to keep him little forever...

dang...now I know what it is like for parents to leave their kids in their teacher's hands...

I think I will forever be a softer teacher after this morning...

Daddy told me I had to leave after AJ found his name...

I left...slowly...reluctantly...

He didn't even notice...

I guess it is better that way...

My little boy all grown up...

tear...lots of tears...sniffle...big sniffle...
