Easy Peasy Pencil Skirt

I fell in love with Anna Marie Horner's Rose Drawing Room fabric, & thought
humm...
I should wear that!

This skirt was so easy that it is probably not even worthy of a blog post...

I kid you not...if you can cut & have access to a sewing machine you could whip this little diddy up in less than 30 minutes.

You just measure your hips since it is the widest part the skirt has to fit over.
Add 5 inches to that measurement.  Divide by 2 for the width of your front and back panels.
Measure from your waist to the top of your knee and add about 2 to 3 inches for your height.
Cut a front and back panel.
Place your fabric right sides together.  Sew them together. Finish her seams.
Measure, iron, & sew your hem.
Measure a fold down pocket for the elastic.
Sew around the top allowing enough room for the width of your elastic & leaving a hole to thread your elastic through.  I folded at 1 1/2 inches for 1 inch elastic.  Thread your elastic through with a safety pin.  Sew up the hole, & you're done!

Easy, Peasy!

I am in love with your printed pencil skirt. I will certainly try to make a similar one my own.
