Wreaths, Reindeer, and Cranberries

In preparation for the annual Christmas hayride at Nana and Papa's we made a couple treats.

Holiday Wreaths
Ingredients:
30 marshmallows
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
green food coloring
3 1/2 cups cornflakes

Directions:
In the top of a double boiler, combine the marshmallows, butter, and vanilla.  Stirring frequently, heat the mixture over water until the marshmallows and butter are melted.  Add approximately 2 tsp. of green food color to the melted mixture.  Gradually stir the cornflakes into the mixture.

With spoon, drop the mixture from the double boiler onto waxed paper.  With your hands, mold the mixture into a 9-inch wreath or into 2-inch wreaths.  Decorate with red hots or red candied cherries.

Yield: one 9-inch wreath or 33 2-inch wreaths

Super Easy Reindeer
Ingredients:
Vanilla Creme Cookies
Vanilla Frosting
Mini M&M's
Mini pretzels

Oh, yum. You're so motivated. Last year, I totally was into baking. This year I just don't have the time. All this looks so yummy and fun to make.

I make similar Rudolph cookies! I make peanut butter cookies & shape the dough on the pan in kind of a figure 8. I push in the pretzel "antlers", add chocolate chips for eyes & a red M&M for a nose before baking! The kids love them.

The wreaths look yummy!
